Amar Sehmbi used to participate in singing competitions at his school and college festivals.
He has consecutively won the state-level ”Shabad Gayan” competitions for three years.
He learned singing from ”Tejwant Kittu Music Academy” in Ludhiana.
Due to some financial problems, he also did some part jobs during college time.
Before participating in Voice of Punjab, he was rejected by ”Awaaz Punjab Di” 2015.
Later, Amar took his rejection as a challenge and won the Punjabi singing show ”Voice of Punjab Season 7”.
In 2017, he came out with his first debut song ‘Aankhi’ which was written by Lovely Noor and released by PTC Records.
In 2019, he came out with songs like ‘Rum Te Rajaai’ featuring Nikeet Dhillon and ‘Waddi Gall’ featuring Bishamber Das.
