Amberdeep Singh Biography

Amberdeep Singh is a Punjabi actor, director, screenwriter, and producer associated with Punjabi Flim Industry. He is a well-known director and best known for his movies like Angrej, Lahoriye, Love Punjab, and Teeja Punjab. He has also won the Best Director award for the Lahoriye movie at the PTC Flim Awards and Filmfare Awards.

Personal Life

• Amberdeep did his schooling at Government Senior Secondary School, Abohar, and completed his graduation from DAV College, Abohar.
• His father was a Journalist and his birthplace is Abohar, Punjab.
• He was a good player in Wrestling during his school time but later he have to leave his game due to his slip-disc injuries.
• Later, he completed his master’s from Punjabi University, Patiala in Theatre and Television.

Career

• After completing his master’s and he moved to Mumbai and after some struggle, he started working with the ”Ram Gopal Verma” company.
• He directed some TV Show and also worked as an assistant director with his seniors.
• After that, he started working in ”Comedy Circus” and ”Comedy Nights with Kapil” as a screenplay and dialogue Writer.
• In 2008, he wrote the screenplay and dialogue along with Naresh Kathooria for the Punjabi movie ”Chak De Phatte”, which was directed by Smeep Kang.
• Later, he worked as a Dialogue Writer for Punajbi movies like Viyah 70 km, Daddy Cool Munde Fool, Happy Go Lucky, Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo, Disco Singh, and Angrej.
• In 2015, he won the best screenplay award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards for the movie ”Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo”.
• In 2016, he won two awards for ‘Angrej’ movie including the best screenplay and best story.
• He has also played cameo appearances in movies like Love Punjab, Sarvann, Lahoriye, Harjeeta and Ashke.
• In 2018, he won the ‘Best Debut Director’ award at Punjabi Filmfare Awards and the Best Director Award at PTC Film Awards for his directorial debut Lahoriye.
• He made his debut as a Lead Actor in the Punjabi movie ”Laung Laachi” along with Neeru Bajwa and Ammy Virk.
• In 2021, he came out movie ”Teeja Punjab” along with Nimrat Khaira, and the movie story was based on the new Farm law.
