Personal Life
Sharma was born on 23 August 1956 and his birthplace is Bharathgarh, Rupnagar, Punjab, India.
He was raised in Delhi in a family originally from Gujranwala (now located in Punjab, Pakistan).
In 1970, he moved to Chandigarh and served in the Punjab Police department while pursuing a career in acting and later developing a love for theater.
He has 3 sons and a daughter.
Career
BN Sharma began his acting career with a negative character in Jalandhar Doordarshan’s Punjabi soap ”Jeb Katre” (Pocket Pickers) in 1985.
His first movie was Vaisakhi om 1987, which was a hit and later acted as a recurring and different character in the hit series ”Flop Show” in 1989.
He later collaborated with Jaspal Bhatti in other ventures like ”Ulta Pulta” and ”Full Tension”.
He had a minor role in the anti-corruption comic film ”Mahaul Theek Hai” in 1999 and followed by major roles in over 70 Punjabi films.
During his service as a constable, he completed 40-45 movies, which show his love for theater.
BN Sharma won the Best Actor in a Comic Role award at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards.
