Himmat Sandhu was born in Uttar Pradesh but his grandfather was from Jawanda village near Tarn Taran, Amritsar.
Himmat wrote his first song, when he was in his 7th standard and use to participate in singing competitions during his school days.
Sandhu has never been to college and left his studies midway in order to pursue a career in music.
After completing high school, he moved to Bathinda and joined Baldeep Singh’s music academy to learn music.
