Gurshabad is a Punjabi Singer and Actor associated with Punjabi Cinema and Music Industry. He is best known for his role of ‘Billa’ in the Punjabi Movie Chal Mera Putt. He has been walking on a socially aware and culturally sensitive path in his music and film career. Gurshabad’s real name is Gurshabad Singh Kular.
Gurshabad was born on 24 August 1989 and his birthplace is Rampur Bhootwind village in the Amritsar district of Punjab.
He always aspired to become a playback singer and started learning and performing music at the early age of ten years.
He completed his graduation from Khalsa College, Amritsar, and later went on to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to complete his Master of Arts in Music.
Gurshabad started his career with a debuted song ”Vaar Bhagat Singh” a duo collaboration with Ammy Virk. The song was dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
In 2015, he gave his first film appearance in a Punjabi movie ”Angrej” along with Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta. The movie was a hit at Box Office and received a high nomination at the award shows.
Later, he came out with singles like Milne Di Rutt (2016), Geetkariyan (2016), and Tarakiyaan (2017).
He commenced his playback singing career with a track titled ”Rajya” penned by Harman Jeet in the movie Sarvann (2017), which was produced by Priyanka Chopra.
Gurshabad has been walking on a socially aware and culturally sensitive path in his music and film career.
His song ”Selfie” from the movie Golak Bugni Bank te Batua turned out to be commercially successful and peaked position at 23 on the UK Asian Music Chart.
He also won the award for the Best Song with a message for ”Geetkariyan” at PTC Punjabi Music Award.
Gurshabad came into the spotlight after working in the movie ”Chal Mera Putt”, the movie was a Box Office Hit and he also appears again in the prequel.
