Harish Verma is an Indian Punjabi film actor who is associated with Punjabi Flim Industry. He made his debut in the 2010 film ‘Panjaban’ and gained wide attention with Yaar Annmulle (2011). He made his singing debut with the track ”Ikk Vaari Hor Soch Lae”, which was written by Jaani and produced by B Praak.
Personal Life
Harish Verma was born on 11 October 1982 and his birthplace is Ropar, Punjab, India.
He did his schooling at Government Public School and completed his graduation from Punjabi University, Patiala in Psychology.
Along with his graduation, he started doing theatre and did it for many years before venturing into commercial acting.
After being a part of over 70 plays and appearing in over 2500 repeat performances, Harish moved to Mumbai from Punjab.
He was trained under the mentorship of the veteran Punjabi thespian S. Gursharan Singh and he managed to portray almost every shade of any given character.
Harish got married to Aman Khehra in 2014.
Career
Harish Verma started his acting career in 2009 by playing the role of Avtaar Sheela Sangwan in the TV serial ”Na Aana Is Des Laado.”
Later, he made his acting debut in the Punjabi Film Industry with the film ”Punjaban”, the movie was directed by Gaurav Trehan.
In 2011, he played the role of Khadak Sher Singh aka Jatt Tinka in the Punjabi film ”Yaar Annmulle” which earned him immense popularity.
Later, he also won the ‘Best Actor-Critic award’ at the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Yaar Annmulle movie.
After that, he worked in many Punjabi films including Burrraahh, Daddy Cool Munde Fool, Viyah 70 KM, Ronde Saare Vyah Picho, Happy Go Lucky, Proper Patola, and more,
He bagged a second ”Best Actor Award” for the Burrraahh movie at PTC Punjabi Film.
In 2018, he got a role of a commander in the biographical war film ”Subedar Joginder Singh”, based on the life of an Indian soldier (Joginder Singh) who was killed in the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
Verma made his singing debut in 2016 with the Punjabi song ”Ik Vaari Hor Soch Le” and thereafter he came out with more songs like Yaar Ve, Judaayi, Chehre, Dila Mereya, Monalisa, and more.
