Sargun Mehta is an Indian Punjabi Actress, Model, Television Host, and Producer associated with the Punjabi and Hindi Industries. She has worked in Indian Television Programs and Reality Shows as well as in Punjabi Movies. Sargun is best known for Punjabi movies such as Angrej, Love Punjab, Lahoriye, and Qismat. She has received three PTC Punjabi Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards Punjabi for her work in Punjabi Cinema.

Personal Life
Mehta was born on 06 September 1988 and her birthplace is Chandigarh, India. She also has a younger brother.
She did her schooling at Sacred Heart Convent School, Chandigarh, and Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh.
After that, she did her graduation with a Bachelor of commerce from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and later began studying for a Master’s degree in Business Management but left to pursue her acting career.
She regularly participated in theatre shows during her three years in college and performed in several theatrical productions.
In 2013, she married co-star Ravi Dubey, they both have worked in 12/24 Karol Bagh and Nach Baliye.
In 2019, she has opened her own production house ”Dreamiyata Entertainment Pvt Ltd”, with her husband.
Career (Hindi)
During his master’s, Mehat was cast in the television program ”12/24 Karol Bagh” and unfortunately she left his master’s studies and shifted to Mumbai.
In 2010, Mehta portrayed the lead in another Zee TV production ”Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharmayudh” which was based upon the misuse of section 498A which aims to protect women from domestic violence and abuse.
In January 2011, she was featured as the lead protagonist opposite Ajay Chaudhary in the drama series ”Phulwa” on Colors TV, and the following year, she appeared in an episode of Sony television’s crime series Crime Patrol.
Mehta participated in Sony Entertainment Television’s reality-based Comedy Circus series titled ”Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe” along with Kapil Sharma.
In 2012, she walked the ramp at the prestigious award the twelfth Indian Television Academy fashion event titled, Fashion Ka Jalwa.
She also participated in the fifth season of the dance reality show ”Nach Baliye” was joined by Ravi Dubey and was announced as the first runner-up of the show.
After that, she was chosen to play the pivotal role of Sonia in Fireworks Productions’ suspense/thriller series ”Hum Ne Li Hai… Shapath” opposite Rahil Azam.
Later, she worked in Ekta Kapoor’s soap opera ”Kya Huaa Tera Vaada” along with co-star Mohit Malhotra, Mona Singh, Mouli Ganguly, and Neelam Sivia.
Sargun Mehta established herself as a leading actress when she appeared in the Colors TV drama series ”Balika Vadhu” (2013) but she quit the show due to creative dissatisfaction.
Mehta gave a special dance appearance on the grand premiere of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8’ on 21 September 2014 and later appeared as a guest participant in the ninth season of the reality show Bigg Boss.
After a long break from fiction shows, Mehta made a comeback with Zee TV’s mini-series ‘Rishton Ka Mela’, where she played the character Deepika, who is a young beautiful girl of today’s modern era.
Later, she appeared in Box Cricket League Season 2 as a contestant, The Kapil Sharma Show as Dr. Sudha, Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, and Big Boss 11 as a Guest.
Career (Punjabi)
In 2015, she made her first Punjabi film debut with ”Angrej”, with the central role of Dhan Kaur, alongside Amrinder Gill, and Aditi Sharma.
The movie was directed by Simerjit Singh and the film received a significant opening in India, which earned ₹4.0 crore in its first week and emerged as the second highest-grossing Punjabi film of 2015.
In 2016, she appeared in ‘Love Punjab’ as Jessica Brar and won the Filmfare Award (Punjabi) for Best Actress.
In 2017, she appeared in ‘Jindua’ as Saggi, and in ‘Lahoriye’ as Amiran, which got her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the Lahoriye film.
Sargun portrayed Baani in the 2018 Punjabi movie ”Qismat” alongside Ammy Virk and won the PTC Film Awards for Best Actress.
In 2019, Came out with movies such as ‘Kala Shah Kala with Binnu Dhillon, ‘Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh’ with Gippy Grewal, her third release ‘Surkhi Bindi with Gurnam Bhullar, and last ‘Jhalle’ opposite Binnu Dhillon.
Sargun Mehta is featured in the music video ”Titliaan” along with Harrdy Sandhu. The song was sung by Afsana Khan and written by Jaani, the song has 700+ million views on youtube.
She is coming out with Qismat 2, which is the sequel to the 2018 Qismat movie.
She has two films under production, ‘Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gaya’ and ‘Saunkan Saunkne’, which are delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
